HOT Mobile Website Not Loading Abroad? How to Freeze or Disconnect the Line

In our check on 23 October 2026, the HOT Mobile website didn't open from abroad: a short access-refused message came back instead. Through SuperStableVPN, with an Israeli IP, the site opened. After a move, what most people need from HOT Mobile is one of two things: freeze the line to keep the number for SMS codes, or disconnect it and stop paying. Below is how to do that through the personal area and without it.
Open the HOT Mobile personal area with an Israeli IP: free for 3 days, no credit card required. After that it's 17 CAD a month (about ₪36), taxes included, and only if you choose to subscribe. You'll need the free OpenVPN app: we send you a configuration file and instructions, you connect and open the HOT Mobile site. There's no separate app of ours to install.
What you need from HOT Mobile after a move
All of this is according to HOT Mobile (freezing and disconnecting, self-service, in Hebrew):
- Freezing the line. A temporary suspension is done in the personal area at any time, for one to three months. A line can be frozen only once a year, counted from the first day of the first freeze.
- Disconnecting a single service or reporting a lost phone: also in the personal area; this blocks outgoing and incoming calls.
- Ending the contract. This is done by request: by email, fax or post (addresses below). The same page has a "כתוב לנו" (write to us) form with the subject "ניתוק שרות" (service disconnection), and HOT Mobile promises a reply within 3 business days. The form's phone field offers Israeli prefixes only.
- Paying a debt and changing the payment card. "תשלום חוב" (pay a debt) and "עדכון אמצעי תשלום" (update payment method) have their own pages on the site.
- Viewing the bill and call details, updating personal details: in the personal area. Number porting and blocking calls abroad are there too.
How login works
The personal-area login form asks for a phone number (10 digits) and an ID or company number (9 digits), then for a code sent by SMS (login, in Hebrew). So the code goes to the HOT Mobile line you log in with. If the SIM is with you and works on roaming, the code will arrive; if the line is already disconnected or the SIM stayed in Israel, it won't. HOT Mobile doesn't say whether a foreign number can receive the code. Business customers have a separate login.
What you can do without the website
From public sources — HOT Mobile contact, HOT Mobile service centres, ending a HOT Mobile contract (in Hebrew):

- WhatsApp: 053-5003005, 24/7.
- Customer service: *053 from a HOT Mobile phone, 053-5003000 (from abroad +972-53-5003000) or 1-800-800-053.
- Ending the contract without the site: email [email protected], fax 053-5500300, or a letter to בית ספרד, יורו פארק, א.ת פארק יקום, 6097200.
- Public inquiries officer: in writing to the same address or to [email protected].
- The My HOT mobile app, for iOS and Android.
How to get in with an Israeli IP
- Sign up for SuperStableVPN: 3 days free, no credit card required. Install the free OpenVPN client on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux and import the configuration file we send you (setup).
- Connect and check that an IP-lookup site shows Israel.
- Open hotmobile.co.il and the personal area or the disconnection page.
Ours is a static IP from a range of Israeli residential addresses. Sites flag such addresses less often than a regular VPN's datacenter ones, though no site promises to accept them (residential IP vs a regular VPN).
What a VPN doesn't fix
- SMS codes. To receive SMS codes you will also need an Israeli phone number; see SMS codes from Israel abroad.
- A freeze doesn't last forever. According to HOT Mobile it's one to three months, once a year; if you need the number for longer, that's for the company to decide.
- Other services closed from abroad are in the table of 106 Israeli websites.
