Shufersal or Rami Levy Not Loading Abroad? How to Order Groceries for Your Parents in Israel

Trying to order groceries for your parents, and Shufersal or Rami Levy won't open? In our check on 23 October 2026, neither Shufersal Online nor Rami Levy opened from abroad: Shufersal shows only a notice that the site is available from selected countries. Through SuperStableVPN, with an Israeli IP, the sites opened. Rami Levy requires an Israeli card for payment, and to receive verification codes you will also need an Israeli phone number.

Open Shufersal and Rami Levy with an Israeli IP: free for 3 days, no credit card required. After that it's 17 CAD a month (about ₪36), taxes included, and only if you choose to subscribe. You'll need the free OpenVPN app: we send you a configuration file and instructions, you connect and open the chain's site. There's no separate app of ours to install.

What you need to order groceries in Israel

  • An Israeli credit card, at Rami Levy at least. Rami Levy's terms of use allow only users aged 18+ with a valid Israeli credit card, an email address and a phone (landline or mobile) to register and buy. Its FAQ adds that payment is by cards of companies operating in Israel (terms, FAQ, in Hebrew). The Shufersal pages we could find don't say whether it accepts foreign cards.
  • Your parents' address for delivery. Rami Levy delivers to the address given in the order, within its delivery areas; you check the area by town on the site (terms, in Hebrew).
  • Someone at home. According to Rami Levy, if the customer isn't there and hasn't approved by phone leaving the order at the door, it goes back to the store and a new delivery has to be arranged with customer service (FAQ, in Hebrew).
  • Deadlines for changes. Rami Levy accepts cancellations by phone up to 5 hours before delivery and asks you to report a wrong item within 12 hours of delivery. There's no minimum order (FAQ, in Hebrew).

How the login works

Shufersal Online. According to its login page (Shufersal, in Hebrew; Wayback Machine copy from October 2025), ordering a delivery needs a login with email and password. Club members can also log in with their ID number plus email, mobile, club number or the last 4 digits of a Shufersal credit card, and then a 6-digit code goes to the mobile. If the number is out of date, customer service can update it on 1-800-686868; the club number is available on 1800-56-56-56.

Rami Levy. According to the chain, a forgotten password is reset by email, and if you can't register you call support on 073-284-0000 (FAQ, in Hebrew). Besides full registration, the terms describe a "guest" order with just a name, email and phone (terms, in Hebrew).

The apps. The "שופרסל App" and "רמי לוי באינטרנט" apps are listed not only in the Israeli App Store but in foreign ones too. We didn't check whether they work from abroad.

What you can do without the website

From public sources — Rami Levy contacts, Rami Levy terms of use, Shufersal Online terms, Shufersal Online order cancellation, in Hebrew:

  • Rami Levy Online: phone 073-284-0000, Sun–Thu 8:00–22:00, Fri 8:00–13:00; it's a regular number, dialled from abroad as +972-73-2840000. WhatsApp 055-688-8800, email [email protected]. Orders are changed and cancelled on the same number. The chain doesn't say whether a whole order can be placed over WhatsApp.
  • Rami Levy, other lines: public inquiries (פניות הציבור) on 1-599-590-500, an Israeli number; the chain's stores on 076-888-8686 (from abroad +972-76-8888686), [email protected].
  • Shufersal Online: WhatsApp 052-7986644, email [email protected], phone *6680. The phone line works Sun–Tue 9:00–21:00, Wed–Thu 9:00–22:00, Fri and holiday eves 9:00–14:00; WhatsApp and email Sun–Tue 9:00–20:30, Wed–Thu 9:00–21:30, Fri and holiday eves 9:00–13:30. *6680, 1-800-686868 and 1800-56-56-56 are Israeli numbers, which may not connect from abroad; from abroad WhatsApp is easier.
  • Shufersal by post: מוקד שירות לקוחות, שופרסל בע"מ, רחוב בנימין שמוטקין 30, ראשון לציון 7536333. You can also cancel an order by registered letter to this address.
  • Other chains. Victory Online and Super-Pharm open from abroad today (the table). We didn't check payment or delivery there. Israeli sites change their access rules without warning, though, so it's better to set up the VPN calmly in advance, not on the evening your parents urgently need groceries: when you need it, you just connect.

Neither Rami Levy nor Shufersal publishes a separate number for calls from abroad.

How to open the site with an Israeli IP

  1. Sign up for SuperStableVPN: 3 days free, no credit card required. Install the free OpenVPN client on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux and import the configuration file we send you (setup).
  2. Connect and check that an IP-lookup site shows Israel.
  3. Open shufersal.co.il or rami-levy.co.il. If the store opens, the connection is sorted.

Ours is a static IP from a range of Israeli residential addresses. Sites flag such addresses less often than a regular VPN's datacenter ones, though no site promises to accept them (residential IP vs a regular VPN).

What a VPN doesn't fix

  • SMS codes. To receive SMS codes you will also need an Israeli phone number; see SMS codes from Israel abroad.
  • Payment. If a chain takes only Israeli cards, a foreign one won't go through with an Israeli IP either. You need an Israeli card: your own if you still have one, or a relative's.
  • Delivery. Someone has to be home or approve leaving the order at the door, and the address has to be in a delivery area.
  • Other closed sites. See the table of 106 Israeli sites.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay Rami Levy with a foreign card?

Under Rami Levy's rules, no. Its terms of use say only users with a valid Israeli credit card may register and buy on the site, and its FAQ says payment is by cards of companies operating in Israel. An Israeli IP doesn't change that.

Does Shufersal itself say the site is closed abroad?

Yes. Instead of the site, all you see from abroad is a notice reading "Access to the site is open from selected countries only. We apologise for the inconvenience." Shufersal doesn't say which countries.

Which chains open from abroad?

Today Victory Online and Super-Pharm open from abroad; Shufersal, Rami Levy and Yad2 don't. Israeli sites change their access rules without warning, so a site that opens today may close tomorrow.
