Highway 6 Website Not Loading Abroad? How to Pay a Kvish 6 Toll Invoice

In our check on 23 October 2026, neither the Highway 6 website nor its personal area opened from abroad. Through SuperStableVPN, with an Israeli IP, the site opened. And the Highway 6 invoice usually arrives after you've left: according to the company, the first invoice is issued 60–90 days after the trip. Below is how to pay it with and without the website, what to do after a rental car, and how the Fast Lane works.
Pay your Highway 6 invoice with an Israeli IP: free for 3 days, no credit card required. After that it's 17 CAD a month (about ₪36), taxes included, and only if you choose to subscribe. You'll need the free OpenVPN app: we send you a configuration file and instructions, you connect and open the Highway 6 site. There's no separate app of ours to install.
What people abroad need from Highway 6
All of this is according to Highway 6 (FAQ, late payment, in Hebrew):
- Paying the invoice. Without an account, the invoice for a first trip is issued within 60–90 days and posted to the car owner's address held by the licensing office. Online, you can pay by card without registering, and check open invoices for your car on the site; only trips already invoiced show up there.
- Sorting out an invoice after a rental car. The invoice goes to the rental or leasing company as the registered owner, which usually charges the renter a handling fee of up to tens of shekels per invoice. Highway 6 suggests adding the car to your own (free) account before the trip and removing it as soon as you return it.
- Avoiding late charges. Every trip on an invoice not paid on time carries a charge: ₪14.16 if one invoice is overdue, ₪22.42 with two and ₪43.66 with three or more (VAT included, rates from 1 April 2025). The cap is ₪7,000 before VAT per car. After that the company may hold the car on the road, block the renewal of its registration or pass the debt to the Execution Office.
- Asking for late charges to be reduced or cancelled. An internal charges forum considers, for example, cases where two registered letters in a row came back undelivered, and exceptional personal circumstances. An independent appeals committee takes appeals within 30 days of the notice; its secretariat is on 03-6255878, and the appeal is filed in Hebrew, printed. An appeal on its own doesn't stop collection.
- Account holders use the personal area to change cars and the payment card, see future charges and invoices, and get invoices by email. The personal area only holds the last six months; older records are a paid request.
How login works
You can pay an invoice on the site without registering, using the details on the invoice. The account holders' personal area needs registration. Highway 6 warns about fake text messages and emails in its name: payment happens only in the personal area after full identification, and card details should never be entered through links in messages (Highway 6, in Hebrew).
What you can do without the website
From public sources — Highway 6 contact page, Highway 6 accessibility and contact details, Highway 6 privacy policy, all in Hebrew:
- Call centre: 03-9081111 or *6116, Sun–Thu 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–13:00, Israel time. *6116 is an Israeli number; 03-9081111 is a regular number, dialled from abroad as +972-3-9081111. The automated line for enquiries and invoice payment runs 24/7.
- Email: [email protected].
- Fax: 03-9081160.
- Post: ת.ד. 473, Rosh HaAyin 4810401.
- Public enquiries (פניות הציבור): [email protected], or by post: פניות הציבור – דרך ארץ מפעילת כביש 6, ת"ד 676, Rosh HaAyin 7185856.
- Paying without the site: by card over the phone, with the QR code on the invoice, at Alonit stores in Dor Alon petrol stations, at the service centres or at bank branches with the paper invoice. A relative in Israel can do this.
- Service centres at Nachshonim, Haifa (by the Carmel Tunnels), the Magal petrol station on Highway 6 and Be'er Sheva (Grand Canyon mall): Sun–Thu 10:00–17:00, Fri 09:00–13:00.
- Written requests go through the form on the site, with your ID number and car number; the reply comes within 2 business days.
Highway 6 doesn't publish a WhatsApp number or a separate number for calls from abroad.
Fast Lane
The toll lane into Tel Aviv along Highway 1 is the same: its site doesn't open from abroad. According to the Fast Lane (invoice payment, about, customer service, in Hebrew):
- Using the lane requires registering in advance or paying for the trip at the machines in the Park & Ride. If you drove it without registering, you can register the same day until 17:00 and avoid the extra charge.
- An invoice without an account is paid on the site with your ID number and car number, or with the clearing number printed on the invoice.
- Through apps: Pango and Cellopark can add toll road payment, and Fast Lane trips then appear on their bill. Managing Pango from abroad is covered in Pango from abroad.
- Phones: *3633 and 073-2100400 (from abroad +972-73-2100400), fax 03-9169838. The appeals committee takes appeals within 45 days, on 073-7143211.
How to get in with an Israeli IP
- Sign up for SuperStableVPN: 3 days free, no credit card required. Install the free OpenVPN client on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux and import the configuration file we send you (setup).
- Connect and check that an IP-lookup site shows Israel.
- Open kvish6.co.il or fastlane.co.il. If the home page opens, the connection problem is solved.
Ours is a static IP from a range of Israeli residential addresses. Sites flag such addresses less often than a regular VPN's datacenter ones, though no site promises to accept them (residential IP vs a regular VPN).
What a VPN doesn't fix
- SMS codes. To receive SMS codes you will also need an Israeli phone number; see SMS codes from Israel abroad.
- A rental car invoice has already gone to the rental company. It charges the handling fee, and any dispute about that fee is with them.
- Your foreign card is declined. That's down to the payment system and the bank, not the IP.
- Other services closed from abroad, including the Pango personal area, are in the table of 106 Israeli websites.
